Dear Families,

We are sending the Week Ahead out a day early as Ms. Kelly will be away on Friday.

The weather presented some challenges this week for our students. Most students were prepared for the cold and adapted to the extreme change. We encourage families to look at the weather forecast in the morning and dress your children appropriately with lots of layers as we head into the winter months. Students will be going outside for recess unless temperatures are -18 or below (including wind chill). We refer to the live temperature posted on the Richmond School Website.

HEART Message

Thank you for supporting the Grade 6 Halloween Candy Fundraiser. The Grade 6 students truly appreciate your support in helping them go to Outdoor Camp in the Spring.

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic book fair is coming soon – Nov 22-24!

We run this event to build excitement for reading, support literacy and to help raise funds for books for the Learning Commons. All purchases help support our Learning Commons.

Book sales are:

Wed Nov 22 3:30 – 5:30pm
Thurs Nov 23 4 – 8pm
Fri Nov 24 8-12:30pm

Dungeons & Dragons Club

Demographic Forms

Thank to those families that have completed the Demographic Verification Forms online on your child’s MyCBE account. If you have not yet completed, this, please do so as soon as possible. Forms that are not completed online will have paper copies sent home on Monday. Please return those forms by Nov 1, 2023.

School Council Annual General Meeting

The School Council and Parent Association AGM is being held on November 21 at 6:30pm. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend!

Fun Lunches

The remaining Fun Lunches for the year have been scheduled. All parents who have children who would like to participate in the school's fun lunches will have to visit the webpage Healthy Hunger and follow the instructions on that page. Please note you will choose RICHMOND SCHOOL (not Richmond Elementary) from the drop down.

Orders MUST be received by the end of day on the Friday before the fun lunch. Unfortunately once midnight hits, Healthy Hunger closes the ordering window and we are no longer able to add to it. For the next Fun Lunch on Wednesday, November 8, orders must be received by 11:59pm on Friday, November 3. Please note if you choose to pay with cash, the money will need to be received by the office by NOON on Friday, November 3.

Richmond School Council is excited to be offering Richmond Apparel again! The apparel is offered in an array of sizes for both Youth and Adults and includes both T-shirts and Hoodies. We have also included a donation section if you would like to donate a t-shirt or a hoodie to the school. See flyer under Resources.
