One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

About Our Parent Society
Our Parent Society is known as the Richmond School Parent Association
Our school is generously supported by a group which is committed to working a casino and other fundraising events in support of our school. This particular organization runs separately from the School Council committee yet works in collaboration with the school and the council in order to support educational opportunities for children. The Parent Association supports field trips, educational technology, library resources, sports equipment, musical instruments and many different artists in residence throughout the year. We feel extremely fortunate to have the wonderful support that we do from both of these groups and the children definitely reap the benefits!
Meeting Dates/Schedule
Association meetings typically follow right after School Council meetings.
