Dear Families,

Thank you for your support in transitioning from summer activities to back to school routines. Students are readily engaged in their learning and already off on field trips. Thank you to those parents who joined us at the School Council Meeting this week. School Council provides many enriched opportunities for our students as well as resources. Please see an important message from them below.

Water Bottles

With fall weather in full swing, the temperatures are often chilly in the morning but the afternoons are quite warm! It is important that our students stay well hydrated every day, but especially in warm weather. Please ensure that your child has an unbreakable, refillable water bottle with them every day. ONLY water is allowed in the classrooms, we request that you do not send energy or sugary drinks.

Terry Fox Run

Richmond School is participating in the Terry Fox School Run on Wednesday, September 20 at 1:00pm! We are so proud to be a part of this Canadian tradition in the fight against cancer. Meet the Teacher Conferences

Meet the Teacher/Conferences will be in person. They will be held on Thursday, September 21 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Friday, September 22 from 8:00 am - noon. Please sign up through the My CBE/PowerSchool Account. Online Bookings close on Monday, September 18th at midnight.

School Council Update: IMPORTANT

November 11 and 12 Pure Casino 1420 MERIDIAN ROAD NE – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Every other year, your Richmond School Parent Association organizes volunteers from the school and community to take advantage of the opportunity to host a Casino. The funds raised from each Casino are used to provide our Richmond School students with educational programs, equipment, resources, books and special events they wouldn't otherwise have access to. Each event typically raises more than $60,000; that's $30,000+ per year that can be spent on improving our students' learning experience. If you are looking for a way to give back consider this; volunteering for one shift at our Casino is equivalent to donating ~$2,000.
