Week Ahead Sept. 11-15 | Meet the Teacher, MyCBE, Drop off, Volunteers
Dear Families,
Thank you for completing the necessary school forms in the Information Package (both online and school copies). It is important that the school has the most current information and that an Emergency Contact is in place for your child(ren) as well. If you have not yet completed filling out the forms, please take some time to do so and hand in ASAP.
Meet the Teacher / Conferences
Meet the Teacher/Conferences will be in person. They will be held on Thursday, September 21 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Friday, September 22 from 8:00 am - noon. Please sign up through the MyCBE. Online Bookings open on Wednesday, September 13 at 9:00 am and close on Monday, September 18th at midnight.
Please use this link to set up your MyCBE Account if you have not already done so: https://cbe.ab.ca/support/Pages/MyCBE-PowerSchool-Creating-Account.aspx. If you need assistance setting up your MyCBE account, there is a helpline number 403-817-6373.
Dropping off Students
IMPORTANT – Please use the corners and crosswalks when crossing the street - our School Patrols will be out in early October to help you. Please DO NOT drop off in the parking lot, this area is not designed or designated as a drop of area. Staff arrive to work at different times and need access to their parking stalls. We would greatly appreciate your cooperation and support.
Volunteers Needed
Our Librarian, Ms Kathy Rae, is always happy to have volunteers come in and help in the library! As with all of our volunteers at Richmond School, you must complete the Volunteer Form and have a valid Police Information Check registered with the school.
Reminders
- Outside supervision is at 8:20 am and the entrance bell is at 8:25 am. Students arrival to school on time is important to good routines, class instruction starting on time without interruptions. Please do your best to have your child(ren) at their entrance door at 8:25 am.
- If your child is ‘late’ they will need to enter through the Main Entrance and must check in the office with Mrs. Klassen (Administrative Assistant). This is necessary to ensure the students are marked ‘late’ and ‘not absent’ or you will receive a call with a message stating that they are not at school.
- Students should be locking up their bikes, skateboards and scooters. There is no available space to store them in the school.
