As we welcome students to school, we also work together as a community overall. School Council work supports each and every student and fundraising provides many opportunities as well.
Attendance & Late
Please note: The Calgary Board of Education recognizes the strong positive correlation between attendance and a student’s success in school. Regular attendance sets students on the path to reaching their full potential. Students arriving late to school/class impacts the student’s well-being as well as the well-being of their classmates. Please do your very best to ensure that your child(ren) arrive at school at 8:25am and may then enter the building with their classmates. Late arrivals to class impacts, class routines and teaching and learning.
Richmond School Fundraising
Richmond School Council is starting a new year of fundraising for Richmond School students. It is important for all families to receive this information when it goes out. Parents must “Subscribe To Stay Informed” to receive all the emails that are sent out on Richmond School Council’s behalf. The directions on how to do this is here. Please opt into this service to receive these emails.

We are excited to bring back the gift card fundraiser with FundScrip! Please watch for the information and order forms that will be coming home next week.
Fun Lunch
The next Fun Lunch with Healthy Hunger is Wednesday, October 9 with Edo. The order deadline is TODAY Friday, October 4. All parents who have children in Grades 1 - 6 who would like to participate in the school's fun lunches will have to visit the webpage Healthy Hunger and follow the instructions on that page. Please note you will choose RICHMOND SCHOOL (not Richmond Elementary) from the drop down. Even if you have registered/ordered in previous years, you will need to register again to select your child's new class in order to place an order. Once registered you will also receive an email notifying you every time a new fun lunch is posted.
Here are the upcoming dates:
- Wed. Oct 23 McDonalds, order deadline Oct. 18
- Wed. Nov. 6 Mucho Burrito, order deadline Nov. 1
The deadline to order is the Friday prior to the Fun Lunch Day.
