Dear Families,

Happy ‘post’ Halloween. Students showed HEART this week, as they were Engaged in spook-tacular activities including literacy, mathematics and art. They worked together in Harmony on STEM challenges, were Adaptable to schedule changes, and showed Respect for the diversity and inclusion of Halloween Color Day.  Students shared their voices through their learning by speaking their Truths. We are proud of our students and thank you, our families for your continued support.

Grade 6 Outdoor Camp Fundraiser

The Halloween Candy Fundraiser is now over. Grade 6 students and teachers would like to send the entire Richmond School Community a huge thank you. We raised over $1,250 dollars, which will go a long way towards sending us to Kamp Kindle in June!

Again, thank you for your support!

Winter & Spring Celebration

Richmond School is excited to welcome families to our annual Winter Celebration performances on Thursday December 12, 2024. The Winter Celebration will feature performances from all classes from Grade 3 to 6. Students in Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 will perform in the Spring Celebration in March 2025. We will hold two performances on Thursday December 12, one during regular school hours and one in the evening. All classes from Grade 3 to 6 will perform in both the afternoon and the evening performances. The afternoon performance will take place from 1:15pm-2:45pm, and the evening performance will take place from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Doors will open for guests 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Due to seating limitations, each guest may attend ONE of the two performances. In order to support us in accommodating all parents and guardians, limit tickets to parents/guardians and school-aged siblings. Performers do not need tickets, but siblings do if they will be requiring a seat.

We are hoping to provide everyone's first choice of performance time, though this may not be possible. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis using a Microsoft Form (https://forms.office.com/r/Vviq0CwR9x).

Please contact Mr. Goodridge (adgoodridge@cbe.ab.ca) with any questions.

Scholastic Book Fair

Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Richmond School! Mark your calendars! Thursday Nov 28, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Friday Nov 29, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Flyers will be coming home with students the week of November 18.

We run this event to build excitement for reading, support literacy and to help raise funds for books in the library. All purchases support our library collection. Students will be previewing the books during their library visits, that same week: Nov 26 to Nov 28.
