Thank You to ALL of our parent volunteers helping out with Alien Inline Skating, we hope you are enjoying the student’s smiles and excitement. Thank you to everyone for adapting to the snowy weather and continuing to drop off and parking safely within the community. We truly appreciate your efforts in keeping our students safe, thanks for working together in harmony.
Reminder: Parent - Teacher Conferences Grade 1 - 6
The Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 28 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and Friday, November 29 from 8:00am-1:00pm. Please sign up through your child’s MyCBE Account. Online bookings close TODAY, Monday, November 25 at midnight.
Winter & Spring Celebration
Our Winter Celebration is taking place this year on Thursday, Dec. 12 2024. We are excited to gather as a school community and share our talents through a series of short performances from classes in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Ticket reservations began on Friday Nov. 1 using this link: https://forms.office.com/r/Vviq0CwR9x. Tickets are free and are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to support us in accommodating all parents and guardians, limit tickets to parents/guardians and child siblings of performers. Once submitted, your ticket request will be reviewed and Mr. Goodridge will contact you to confirm the reservation of tickets.
Reserved tickets will be available for pick-up during Parent/Teacher conferences on Nov. 28 and 29. Please contact Mr. Goodridge (adgoodridge@cbe.ab.ca) with any questions.
Scholastic Book Fair
Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Richmond School! Mark your calendars! Thursday Nov. 28, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Friday Nov. 29, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.
We run this event to build excitement for reading, support literacy and to help raise funds for books in the library. All purchases support our library collection. Students will be previewing the books during their library visits, that same week: Nov 26 to Nov 28. Please do not send money with the students. Sales will take place during Parent-Teacher Conferences in the Library.

Annual Christmas Hampers
In preparing for the Holiday Season, we would like to show HEART by supporting our families in need. We would like to request gift cards (preferably to a grocery store or Walmart) or cash (any cash donations will be used to purchase gift cards). The donations will be distributed to 20 identified families in need of support. Ms. Gocal or Ms. Chorney will accept donations up until Wednesday, December 11, in the Main Office. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

Richmond School Council Update
Fun Lunch
The next Fun Lunch with Healthy Hunger is Wednesday, Dec. 4 with Subway. The order deadline is Friday, Nov. 29. All parents who have children in Grades 1 - 6 who would like to participate in the school's fun lunches will have to visit the webpage Healthy Hunger and follow the instructions on that page. Please note you will choose RICHMOND SCHOOL (not Richmond Elementary) from the drop down. Even if you have registered/ordered in previous years, you will need to register again to select your child's new class in order to place an order. Once registered you will also receive an email notifying you every time a new fun lunch is posted.
Here are the upcoming dates:
- Wed. Dec. 18 - Mary Brown, order deadline, Dec. 13
- Wed. Jan. 15 - Edo, order deadline, Jan. 10
The deadline to order is the Friday prior to the Fun Lunch Day.
