Parent-Teacher Conferences Kindergarten ONLY
The Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 28 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Friday, November 29 from 8:00am-1:00pm. Please note there will be no classes for KINDERGARTEN students (ONLY) on Thursday, November 28. Please sign up through your child’s MyCBE Account. Online bookings opened on Tuesday, November 19 at 9:00 am and close on Monday, November 25th at midnight.

Volunteers Needed – Alien Inline Skating
Thank you to all of the Parents/Guardians who signed up to help support our Alien Inline Program by volunteering for our Kindergarten to Grade 3 classes. If you signed up for a specific time, please make sure you arrive about 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled time and sign into the office. All Alien Inline classes will take place in our school's Gym. If you have questions about your volunteering time please email Mr. D’Aloisio at dfdaloisio@cbe.ab.ca.

Winter & Spring Celebration
Richmond School is excited to welcome families to our annual Winter Celebration performances on Thursday December 12, 2024. The Winter Celebration will feature performances from all classes from Grade 3 to 6. Students in Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 will perform in the Spring Celebration in March 2025. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis using a Microsoft Form https://forms.office.com/r/Vviq0CwR9x . More information may be found at that link. In early December, if tickets are still available for one or both performances those tickets will be made available for extended family members such as grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc. Information about extended family tickets will be shared in future Week Ahead messages.

Scholastic Book Fair
Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Richmond School! Mark your calendars! Thursday Nov 28, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Friday Nov 29, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Flyers will be coming home with students the week of November 18.
We run this event to build excitement for reading, support literacy and to help raise funds for books in the library. All purchases support our library collection. Students will be previewing the books during their library visits, that same week: Nov 26 to Nov 28.

Annual Christmas Hampers
In preparing for the Holiday Season, we would like to show HEART by supporting our families in need. We would like to request gift cards (preferably to a grocery store or Walmart) or cash (any cash donations will be used to purchase gift cards). The donations will be distributed to 20 identified families in need of support. Ms. Gocal or Ms. Chorney will accept donations up until Wednesday, December 11, in the Main Office. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

Richmond School Council Update
FundScrip Fundraiser
We are excited to bring back the gift card fundraiser with FundScrip! Order deadline, Friday, November 22, 2024. There have been a number of etransfers received but forms still need to be turned into the office. If you sent Denise Wanchulak an etransfer please submit the order form to the office as soon as possible.
Fun Lunch
The next Fun Lunch with Healthy Hunger is Wednesday, November 20 with A&W. The order deadline is TODAY, Friday, November 15. All parents who have children in Grades 1 - 6 who would like to participate in the school's fun lunches will have to visit the webpage Healthy Hunger and follow the instructions on that page. Please note you will choose RICHMOND SCHOOL (not Richmond Elementary) from the drop down. Even if you have registered/ordered in previous years, you will need to register again to select your child's new class in order to place an order. Once registered you will also receive an email notifying you every time a new fun lunch is posted.
Here are the upcoming dates:
- Wed. Dec. 4 Subway, order deadline, Nov. 29
- Wed. Dec. 18 Mary Brown's, order deadline, Dec. 13
The deadline to order is the Friday prior to the Fun Lunch Day.
