Dear Families,

Thank you to everyone for being so adaptable with the changes in weather this week. The students are always happy to play outside but when the temp and/or wind chill are at -20 degrees the indoor recess occurs, therefore we have had both indoor and outdoor recess this week. We would like to remind families that supervision of students in the morning starts at 8:20 am prior to school, please note that if you drop your child off any earlier they will not be supervised. We also still have many items in the lost and found, if your child(ren) are missing any winter clothing please remind them to check out the lost and found.

Parking

We will be implementing some changes shortly. There is still a safety concern with parking in front of the school, in the bus zone and the misuse of the staff parking area. We have purchased some new signage and will be updating the areas of a new bus zone, drop off area for students (no unattended vehicle or parking area), and will be  blocking access to the parking lot. It is necessary to have pylons 5 meters from the cross walk, corners and driveway entrances. We have asked the City of Calgary  Police to assist us and are working with the City of Calgary for some new signage as well. We hope to provide you with more details in the upcoming weeks. Thank you to our families who are modelling proper driving, parking and drop off procedures during the school hours. We appreciate your efforts to keep students safe and extending HEART to the community.
