Week Ahead Jan. 15-19 | School Council Meeting, Family Skate Night, Fun Lunches,

Dear Families,

Welcome back, although the weather has not been as welcoming as it was over the holiday break. We appreciate the adaptability of students and families during these extreme temperatures. The classrooms are warm and students are busily engaged in rich learning tasks, while sharing stories of their adventures.

Literacy is an important part of our School Development Plan, please join us for the presentation on ‘Spelling for Life” at the School Council Meeting on Tuesday night starting at 6:30pm.

Reminders

  • Please call the attendance line at 403-777-8380 (Option 1) and leave a message if your child will not be at school.
  • Students should be dressed appropriately for the weather, layering is the best technique for our climate.
  • Lost and Found appear daily, please remind your child to check for mitts, toques, snowpants etc.
  • Hydration is important all year round, please send a water bottle to school with your child.

School Council Update

Family Skate Night

Richmond School Council is pleased to announce the return of Family Skate Night on Friday, January 19 from 6:00-8:00pm.

This event is held at the Richmond Knob Hill Community Center (next door to the school). There will be limited parking at the community club, but you may also park along 22nd Street beside the school.

We hope you'll join us for a night of skating, and snacks!

The larger rink will be reserved for hockey, and the smaller rink will be for casual skating.

All skates and helmets will be provided to children who do not have their own, free of charge.

There will also be skates in adult sizes for those who would like to participate.

Please see the Sign Up Genius link below to assist in making this night a success.

We are in need of a few more volunteers to help set up and take down, and donations of snacks etc.

All donations can be brought to the rink on the evening of Jan. 19, or dropped to the office by 5:00pm.
