Important information is included in each message – please read right through to the end, as the Richmond School (Parent) Council always has important updates to share as well. Thank you!
Important Reminders
The “Richmond School Information Package” for 2025-2026 was sent home last week. We ask that the necessary paperwork comes back to the school as they are now past due.
Please ensure all online forms are also completed. These were due September 15. You should have received an email through SchoolMessenger letting you know the Student Demographic Verification Form is still due. They will be found in your MyCBE account. Thank you!
Terry Fox Run
Our school is excited to take part in the 45th annual Terry Fox Run. Terry started a Marathon of Hope to raise awareness and money to assist with cancer research. Together, we can help his legacy continue.

- Funds raised to date: +$700.00
- Our goal this year is to raise $1,700.00
You can contribute to our school fundraising by: Donating online OR Sending your child with a Twoonie for Terry, or a donation of your choice, on the day of the run September 22, 2025

AMA School Safety Patrols
On Monday, September 22 our grade 5 and 6 patrollers will begin helping at the crosswalk before and after school. When driving during patrols please drive carefully and watch for the handheld stop signs. When walking, please wait behind the patrollers at the crosswalks until you hear the call “Proceed”. Our patrollers are looking forward to helping you throughout the year! Please contact Mr. Goodridge (adgoodridge@cbe.ab.ca) with any questions.

Richmond School Apparel
We are pleased to announce that our Richmond Apparel Store is once again open for ordering. Please visit the following link if you would like to purchase any Richmond swag for your children or your family. Orders must be received by October 10 and will be delivered to the school for pick up in the middle of November.
School Council Casino
Richmond School Council has a very important casino fundraiser coming up on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25 at Elbow River Casino. We have the opportunity to host a casino every two years and it raises approximately $80,000 for the school. Without it we would lose so much support to learning and enhancements for the students. A sign-up genius has been created to start filling positions for this casino. One volunteer shift is equivalent to donating $2000 to the school!! Anyone can volunteer for this, including family and friends. No experience or police record check is necessary! If you are available to help, the link is here, and it is greatly appreciated.
FundScrip Fundraiser
We are excited to bring back the gift card fundraiser with FundScrip! Order deadline is Friday, November 14, 2025. Forms will be coming home with your child(ren) shortly. Please note: orders cannot be made online; we collect all the forms and do a bulk order to save on shipping costs. We accept cash, cheques, and etransfers.
Fun Lunches
All parents with children in Grades 1-6 who wish to participate in the school's fun lunches must visit the Healthy Hunger webpage and follow the instructions provided. Please note you will choose RICHMOND SCHOOL (not Richmond Elementary) from the drop-down. Even if you have registered/ordered in previous years, you will need to register again to select your child's new class in order to place an order. Once registered you will also receive an email notifying you every time a new fun lunch is posted.
Here are the upcoming dates:
- Wednesday, October 15- Subway, order deadline October 10
- Wednesday, November 19 - Boston Pizza, order deadline November 14
The deadline to order is the Friday prior to the Fun Lunch Day.
