Dear Families,

We are proud of our students’ daily academic efforts and their citizenship throughout the school and during outside play. Students continue to “Be a Buffalo” and face their challenges (storm). They are always “trying hard” (iiyika’kimaa). Thank you for your support and working together with our staff to ensure a successful school year.

Ms. Dayman’s last day as Acting Assistant Principal will be on Friday, January 31. We truly appreciated her support the past few months and will miss her.

Report Card Viewing: Monday, January 27

  • Students and families may view report cards in MyCBE/PowerSchool.
  • No printing of Report Cards will occur for the first reporting period. If there are extenuating circumstances where a family requires a printed report card, this may be provided. Please contact the office to request this.

75th Anniversary Celebration: We will be celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Richmond School this spring. More details to follow in February.

Richmond School Council Update

Family Skate Night
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Family Skate Night tonight at the Richmond Knob Hill Community Centre from 6-8pm.

Ice skates are provided free of charge for adults and children alike through KidSport, but helmets are limited. If you can bring one from home, please do.

Parking is limited at the Community Centre, and there are no washrooms available. Please plan accordingly, and dress for the weather!

Fun Lunch
The next Fun Lunch with Healthy Hunger is Wednesday, January 29 with The Lunch Lady. The order deadline is today, Friday, January 24. All parents who have children in Grades 1 - 6 who would like to participate in the school's fun lunches will have to visit the webpage Healthy Hunger and follow the instructions on that page. Please note you will choose RICHMOND SCHOOL (not Richmond Elementary) from the drop down. Even if you have registered/ordered in previous years, you will need to register again to select your child's new class in order to place an order. Once registered you will also receive an email notifying you every time a new fun lunch is posted.

Here are the upcoming dates:

  • Wed. Feb. 26              Mucho Burrito, order deadline, Feb. 21
  • Wed. Mar. 12              Kernels, order deadline, Mar. 7

The deadline to order is the Friday prior to the Fun Lunch Day.
