Dear Families,
Welcome back! We hope the holidays were just what you needed them to be. January is month of minimal disruption to teaching and learning, this allows for students to be engaged in rich learning tasks in their classrooms. It is helpful when students arrive to school on time, doors open at 8:25am and class instruction starts at 8:30 am, when students arrive late this is a disruption to the classroom. We truly appreciate the efforts made to be organized to get your child(ren) out the door and on time for their learning. Thanks!
Our School Patrollers are now providing an L-shaped service, there are two crosswalks in effect starting this week. This has improved the safety for families when arriving and leaving school. Please continue to allow for the patrollers to assist you and your family. Remember to stay behind the patrollers while waiting to cross the street and when crossing the intersection please stay within the white lines of the crosswalk.
Reminders: in the bus zone, please do not park or drop off in this zone, it is for buses ONLY. The drop off zone is to drop off ONLY, you may not leave your vehicle unattended at this time. When we follow these rules, it allows for the traffic flow to run smoothly before and after school. Thank you! Also please do not park in front of or block the alley way, we have had a few calls from the community with this request.

This event is held at the Richmond/Knob Hill Community Center (next door to the school). There will be limited parking at the community club due to the childcare program being run there, but you may park along 22nd Street beside the school. We encourage families to walk if possible!
- We hope you'll join us for a night of skating, and snacks!
- The larger rink will be reserved for hockey, and the smaller rink will be for casual skating.
- All skates and helmets will be provided to children who do not have their own, free of charge.
- There will also be skates in adult sizes for those who would like to participate.
- Please see the Sign Up Genius to assist in making this night a success.
- We are in need of volunteers to assist with set up and provide treats. Please see the link below to help out.
- All donations can be brought to the rink on the evening of the 24, or can be left at the school office for our volunteers to collect. HOT CHOCOLATE POWDER MUST BE DONATED BY THE END OF DAY JANUARY 22.
- PLEASE NOTE: This event will go ahead unless the temperature dips below -15°C that evening. Please dress for the weather!
