We would also like to remind families of an important upcoming event. On February 20, Paul Davis, an expert in online safety, will be presenting to students in Grades 4–6 during the school day.
In addition, there will be an evening presentation for parents and guardians of students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 at Alex Ferguson. This session will provide valuable information and strategies to support children’s safety online. Please see the School Council’s message below for further details regarding the evening presentation.

Save the Date: Spring Celebration 2026 (Kindergarten to Grade 2)
Richmond School is excited to welcome families to our Spring Celebration performances on Thursday March 12th, 2026. The Spring Celebration will feature performances from all classes from Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2. We will hold two performances on Thursday March 12th, one during regular school hours and one in the evening. Further information, as well as the link for (free) ticket reservations, will be provided in future Week Ahead updates.
Richmond School Council Update
Paul Davis Online Safety Presentation
Richmond School Council in conjunction with Alexander Ferguson School and their School Council are excited to announce a presentation from online safety expert Paul Davis for both our grade 4-6 students and their parents. Paul’s mission is to educate children and empower parents on the topic of social media and online safety including cyber bullying. Paul will be giving a presentation to the students at Richmond School on February 20 in the morning. That evening parents are invited to Alex Ferguson School for a presentation just for parents from 6 to 730. We hope you can make it! Any questions about the format or topic please contact the school council through email. We look forward to seeing you at the parent presentation on Friday February 20 at 6:00pm.
Staff Appreciation Cart
Now launching at Richmond School. Each month, our School Council will be restocking a staff cart with snacks and treats as a small gesture of gratitude for our hardworking staff. These thoughtful contributions go a long way in showing appreciation for the time, care, and dedication our teachers and support staff bring to Richmond School every day.

Fun Lunches
The next Fun Lunch with Healthy Hunger is Wednesday, February 18 with Mucho Burrito. The order deadline is Friday, February 13. All parents with children in Grades 1-6 who wish to participate in the school's fun lunches must visit the Healthy Hunger webpage and follow the instructions provided. Please note you will choose RICHMOND SCHOOL from the drop-down. Even if you have registered/ordered in previous years, you will need to register again to select your child's new class in order to place an order. Once registered you will also receive an email notifying you every time a new fun lunch is posted.

- Wednesday, April 15 Coco Brooks, order deadline, Friday, April 10
- Wednesday, May 13 The Lunch Lady, order deadline, Friday, May 8

The deadline to order is Friday prior to the Fun Lunch Day.
