As we head into the long weekend, Thanksgiving, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for each of you. Thank you for being part of our school community and for the trust, support, and kindness you share with us throughout the year.

We are truly grateful for our wonderful students and families and wish you a Thanksgiving filled with love, joy, and special moments with those who matter most.

Important Reminders

Field trip Fees

We have many field trips planned and coming up. Fees are entered into the Student Fee program throughout the year, as field trip plans are finalized. Please be aware that field trip fees must be paid prior to the field trip. Field trip fees are paid through your MyCBE account.

If your child(ren) have been on a field trip already this school year or if information has come home on an upcoming field trip the fees will have been added to your child(ren)’s account. Please check your account(s) regularly and pay any field trip fees still outstanding.

Lunch Supervision Program Registration

Students are not required to remain at school over the lunch period, but for any Grade 1-6 students who stay at school over the lunch period, the CBE provides a mandatory lunch supervision service. Students in these grades must be supervised (see Administrative Regulation 3048 – Noon Services and the Education Act for more details), and the lunch supervision fees cover the related supervision costs.

Please refer to the following CBE Lunch Supervison to review information on this program and register your child(ren) for the Lunch Supervision Program at Richmond School through your MyCBEaccount.

Staff Appreciation Cart

After such great success last year, School Council is excited to bring back the Staff Appreciation Cart.

Every other month, our School Council will be restocking a staff cart with snacks and treats as a small gesture of gratitude for our hardworking staff. These thoughtful contributions go a long way in showing appreciation for the time, care, and dedication our teachers and support staff bring to Richmond School every day.

Fun Lunches

The next Fun Lunch with Healthy Hunger is Wednesday, October 14, featuring Opa!. The order deadline is Friday, October 9.

All parents who have children in Grades 1 - 6 who would like to participate in the school's fun lunches will have to visit the Healthy Hunger webpage and follow the instructions on that page. Please note that Kindergarten students will not be participating in the Fun Lunch program, as they attend school for half days and are not present during lunch. We appreciate your understanding. Even if you have registered in previous years, you will need to register again to select your child's new class to place an order.

The deadline to order is Friday prior to Fun Lunch Day.
