Richmond School's Week Ahead

November 2 - 6, 2026

Dear Families,

As the weather and seasons change, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the cooler temperatures. With darker mornings, please remind your child(ren) to cross streets safely on their way to school and wear reflective clothing whenever possible.

We enjoyed a day of Halloween colors today at school, students remained engaged in their learning of ghostly tasks. Lastly, wishing all our students and families a safe, fun, and happy Halloween! Enjoy your trick-or-treating!

New Fundraiser Coming Soon!

Richmond School is excited to be introducing a brand-new fundraiser for the school. Funds raised will go towards a new residency (Rhythm, Rhythm, Rhythm Drumming and Grade 6 Camp). Watch for information that will be coming home in your child’s backpack on Wednesday, November 4.

Grade 6 Halloween Candy Bag Fundraiser

Thank you for your incredible support of the Grade 6 Halloween Candy Fundraiser! Thanks to the generous candy donations from Grade 6 families and the many students who purchased candy bags, we were able to raise a total of $1,435.

All funds raised will go toward helping cover the costs of Grade 6 Camp. We greatly appreciate your generosity and support in making this fundraiser such a success!

Richmond School Council Updates

Richmond School Council AGM

Richmond School Council would like to welcome all parents to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, November 18, at 6:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend!

School Council meetings are a great way to stay connected with what is happening at the school and find ways to get involved.

We have several open positions on the Council this year. Please see the flyer that went home earlier this week. If you have any questions or would like to take on one of the Board positions, please contact the current Council at richmondschoolcouncil@gmail.com.

We would love to see you there! New Board members will be voted in at the AGM.

Fun Lunches

The next Fun Lunch through Healthy Hunger is Wednesday, November 18, featuring Via Cibo.

The order deadline is Friday, November 13.

All parents with children in Grades 1–6 who would like to participate in the school's Fun Lunch program must visit the Healthy Hunger website and follow the instructions provided.

Please note that Kindergarten students will not participate in the Fun Lunch program, as they attend school for half days and are not at school during lunch.

Even if you registered in previous years, you will need to register again and select your child's new class before placing an order.

Upcoming Fun Lunch Dates

The deadline to order is the Friday before each Fun Lunch day.
