Dear Families,

Teachers and students are preparing for the upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences. We look forward to welcoming families into the building for a time of sharing and celebrating student successes and academic growth. Please sign up for conferences as this time is important as we work together to support your child(rens) educational journey through work in the classroom and HEART throughout the school.

Parent Teacher Conferences

The Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences will once again be in person. They will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and Friday, March 22nd from 8:00am-12:00pm. Please sign up through our child’s My CBE/PowerSchool Account. Online bookings will open on Tuesday, March 12th at 8:00am and close on Tuesday, March 19th at 11:59pm.S

Parking:

We will be implementing some changes shortly. There is still a safety concern with parking in front of the school, in the bus zone and the misuse of the staff parking area. We have purchased some new signage and will be updating the areas of a new bus zone, drop off area for students (no unattended vehicle or parking area), and will be  blocking access to the parking lot. It is necessary to have pylons 5 meters from the cross walk, corners and driveway entrances. We have asked the City of Calgary  Police to assist us and are working with the City of Calgary for some new signage as well. We hope to provide you with more details in the upcoming weeks. Thank you to our families who are modelling proper driving, parking and drop off procedures during the school hours. We appreciate your efforts to keep students safe and extending HEART to the community.

Healthy Hunger Update

More fun lunches have been scheduled! If you have created an account with Healthy Hunger you should have been notified twice of the newly scheduled lunches and will be notified as new ones are posted. If you have not yet signed up for an account please visit www.healthyhunger.ca to do so.

Looking ahead:

Note: April 3rd is the week we return from spring break so it’s advised to order your fun lunch sooner than later so it doesn’t get missed!

If your child is absent on a fun lunch day and you’ve placed an order please call into the school before 11:00am to advise if you will be picking up the lunch, sending it home with a sibling, etc. No phone call means it will be donated to avoid food waste. Thank you!
